Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. What we collect
Account data: your email, username and profile information, including information used for sign-in via one-time email codes.
Content you create: posts, photos and videos, comments, messages and marketplace listings.
Payment data: payments are processed by our payment partners. BLACKOUT never receives or stores full card numbers. Card payments are converted or settled by the checkout partner. Blockchain transaction IDs are recorded and are publicly visible by nature.
Usage and device data: information about how you use BLACKOUT, such as pages visited, device and browser information, and technical logs.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to run the platform, maintain security and send service emails such as sign-in codes, purchase receipts and important notices. We do not sell personal data.
3. Who can see your content
Posts, profiles and marketplace listings are public, including to logged-out visitors and anyone with a share link. Direct messages are visible only to the participants in the conversation.
4. Who we share data with
We share data with hosting and database providers, email delivery providers and payment providers only as needed to operate the service. We may also disclose data when required by law.
5. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile at any time. You can contact us to exercise applicable rights to access, correct or delete your personal data.
Account deletion removes your ability to sign in and hides your content. We keep only an anonymised record where needed for financial or legal records.
6. Data security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, protect its security and meet financial or legal obligations.
7. Children
BLACKOUT is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, please contact us.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will show the latest update date on this page. For questions, reply to any BLACKOUT email or contact us through the app.
